I focus my practice on personal injury and civil rights litigation representing individuals in suits opposing insurance companies, corporations and governmental entities. In ten years of practice, I have gained substantial experience in representing clients in both State and Federal court in cases ranging from wrongful arrest to wrongful death and have won millions for my clients. Having beat the odds by overcoming qualified immunity in a number of federal civil rights lawsuits, I've developed a reputation as one of few attorneys successfully pursuing civil rights cases. I routinely receive attorney referrals as a result. I received my undergraduate degree from Anderson University with a double major in Accounting and Business Management. Following a short career in asset management, I enrolled at John Marshall School of Law where I received my law degree in 2011. I was a member of the John Marshall Law Review and practiced as a criminal trial attorney during my final year of law school. Born and raised on a cattle farm in Henry County, Georgia, I was a three-sport athlete and a decorated high school wrestler. As a college freshman, I was the starting 197 lb. wrestler for Gardner Webb University. I then transferred to Anderson University where I became a nationally ranked NCAA wrestler at 197 lb. twice qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Tournament. While in law school, and for several years thereafter as a practicing attorney, I pursued a mixed martial career amassing a 7-1 record as an Advanced Amateur. In addition, I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Roberto Traven (2018) having won and placed in numerous international IBJJF tournaments including the Pan Ams and World Championships. I currently live in Macon, Georgia with my wife Ashley, our four children (Audrey, Duncan, Abigail, & soon-to-be-born baby girl), and our dog Zooma. My experience provides a wealth of knowledge, not only of the law, but about competition, picking your battles, and how to win. Seeing every client find his or her path to recovery is the most important thing to me professionally.
